About Mark

Vocalcraftwork was founded by Mark Oldfield in 2010 in response to invitations to find a process of combining his experience as a performer and teacher.

Vocalcraftwork sessions are led by Mark and can be delivered in person or on Zoom. His expertise and experience enable Mark to provide skills and strategies to deliver with proficiency and confidence. His mission is to empower and inspire individual singers and facilitate the vision of the conductor. 

Mark (FHEA, RCMpost dip, AGSM, BA Hons) was born in Yorkshire and grew up in Suffolk. As a child he played the piano and various brass instruments and sang in the church choir. He graduated from Colchester Institute and developed his passion for singing at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Britten-Pears School for Advanced Studies in Suffolk and Opera School of the Royal College of Music in London. He has a thriving private studio and teaches at RADA, Italia Conti and Kingston University.
